OGDEN, Utah (May 1, 2023) — The GOAL Foundation, producers of El Doce at Pow Mow, announces a new course and day camp area with the opening of 2022 registration. The 6th annual 12-hour endurance mountain biking event will be held at Powder Mountain on July 29, 2023.
The course consists of 15.2 miles of IMBA-designed trails with roughly 1,900 feet of ascent. Solo riders and teams compete in their division by completing the most course laps within six or twelve hours.
“We are looking forward to another epic El Doce race this year! Although the snow is starting to melt, Powder Mountain is still under a huge snow load. Moving the date two weeks allows ample time for the course to melt off and be ready to ride. We are committed to having a base area and course that are in great shape and appreciate your understanding of the date change,” says Eric Bauman, executive director for the GOAL Foundation.
Free overnight contained-camping is available on a first-come, first-served basis in the Sundown Parking Lot on Friday and Saturday nights. The day camp area will be held at the Timberline parking lot, and will feature race day support activities, vendor area, and the iconic Roosters Chill Zone, a space where riders can come relax out of the heat and enjoy a frosty beverage provided by the event’s title sponsor, Roosters Brewing Co.
