The Bicycle Collective is gearing up for winter — which means they need your help!
During the winter, the shops are quieter, but they’re just hibernating, toiling away, working on projects for next spring when the first nice day means hundreds of people looking for our refurbished bikes and support from well-trained employees and volunteers. Without as much revenue coming in from people buying bikes, the Collective depends on donations and volunteers more than ever.
Many employers match donation funds. Find out if your employer matches funds and consider giving an end-of-year donation to the Bicycle Collective. This winter financing means the Collective can pay employees to work on Goodwill bikes, free classes, and Kids’ Earn-A-Bike classes which sustain the cycling community for years to come by instilling a deep sense of ownership and pride. If your employer or organization might consider giving the Bicycle Collective a larger donation, please get in touch by emailing the Bicycle Collective at [email protected]
Keep an eye out for winter cycling tips from the Bicycle Collective by following them on Facebook and Instagram …and don’t forget Women’s Night is every Wednesday!
