Southern Nevada Stage Race Press Release

This year the Southern Nevada Stage Race, formerly know as Nelson’s Landing Stage Race, will be held on January 25^th – 27^th in Henderson, NV (near Las Vegas). This event is the first stage race of the year and is a perfect start to the season.

01/25^th Underground Time Trial: This is a 20k nearly flat course with a very good road surface.

01/26^th Silver Bowl Crit:  This is a smooth, wide, and very safe course “perfect for first timers”.

01/27^th Nelson’s Landing Road Race: This is a short course with beautiful scenery and challenging terrain.

Below is a list of changes to make the event better than ever:

·      Time Trial start has been pushed up to 2:00 pm. This is to accommodate those who travel to the race.

·      The Criterium starts Saturday for those that might not have made the time cut in the road race.

·      The road race now has two start times. This will ensure there are not too many people on the course at one time.

·      The cash and prize list has been increased to $4500.00

·      A new timing company has been hired to ensure fast and accurate results.

·      A host hotel has been established which is riding distance from the Crit, it will not cost you a fortune, and is not a Casino.

·      The Southern Nevada Stage Race is now a SoCal Points race. You or your team can earn up to 2.5 points.

·      Packet pick up at the Time Trial.
